On my four hour drive back from Pennsylvania this today, I had plenty of time to enjoy the fall colors erupting on the hills, and to draw plenty of inspiration for today’s manicure.  The base is the same dark green color on all nails, but on some I layered a red/green/gold flakie polish from Essie, and on some I tore up and applied tiny pieces of gold leaf, which is easy to find—and cheap—on eBay.  For a little added sparkle, as if this wasn’t already enough, I added a few red and yellow rhinestones to one nail on each hand.  The result: autumn explosion!
